Willow Springs Golf & Country Club is located just north of Millington in Vassar. It has been open since the 1970s but it underwent a complete renovation in 2005. The course was made more challenging but at the same time more playable with the reconditioning of both the greens and fairways. The golf course is routed through mature forests and around several ponds. The gently rolling terrain provides subtle undulations in the greens that force you to pay attention to course management. Accuracy is also essential when navigating the tree-lined fairways. Willow Springs’ bunkering is minimal but strategically placed and water also comes into play. There are some tough holes but it’s still player friendly enough for beginners. In addition to the golf course, there is also a short-iron driving range.
